The Great Race for Education – Valhalla Edition
Channel your Viking spirit as you embark on a cause worthy of legends in a thrilling fundraising scavenger hunt. The Great Race combines trivia with athletic challenges to support affordable, quality education for CEI students, regional employers, and the community. Teams start at The Waterfront at Snake River Landing and decipher clues to travel to secret locations in the area and complete a series of puzzles and obstacles.
Time: 10am—2pm

Wines In The Wild
Explore a variety of exquisite wines from different corners of the globe while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of the zoo. It’s the perfect blend of nature and culture! Each guest will receive a tasting passport with five 3-ounce pours to enjoy at any station. VIP guests will receive exclusive access to a private area featuring premium wines and charcuterie.

Christmas in July Craft Fair
Celebrate a summertime spin on the holidays at a Christmas in July craft fair in Idaho Falls. More than 100 local vendors will set up both indoors and outdoors, plus food trucks and plenty of handmade finds to explore. Santa is slated to drop by during his vacation to greet families and share ice pops with kids. Admission is free, making it easy to browse, shop, and soak up the seasonal cheer.

Summer Art Camp: American Artists
Celebrate the creativity of artists from across the United States. Students will explore a different American artist each day, examine diverse styles—from realism to abstraction, pop art to contemporary practice—and create their own works inspired by each artist’s techniques. This camp builds artistic skills while encouraging students to reflect on identity, storytelling, and the power of creative expression in American culture.

River Concert: Mountain Strings Bluegrass
Enjoy the summer evening with music along the river; the free, weekly Tuesday evening outdoor performances showcase a wide variety of musical genres, including jazz, classic rock, bluegrass, and big band music. Bring folding chairs or blankets to relax and enjoy the scenery.

Packed with dazzling songs, witty humor, and surprising romance, Shrek flips fairy-tale traditions upside down and celebrates loving yourself just the way you are.
