Organizers bill the event as a celebration of pop culture in all its forms, from vintage Nintendo cartridges and comic books to anime fandom and movie memorabilia. Expect costume contests, gaming stations, and vendors loaded with hard-to-find collectibles.
The 2026 special-guest lineup includes voice-over legends Keone Young and Samantha Newark, Elvira tribute Brenda Swan and Marvel/DC artist Sam de la Rosa (pictured here).
Retro X also carries a community angle. A portion of ticket sales benefits the Idaho Falls Community Food Basket, giving the event a local charitable component alongside the fun.
The show runs Friday from noon to 7pm and Saturday from 11am to 6pm, with early-bird admission available both days. Kids 12 and under get in free. For tickets and event information, visit ifretrox.com.

The Idaho Falls Arts Council’s annual River Concert Series kicks off in June with three free Tuesday-night concerts at the Greenbelt Stage, tucked along the River Walk near Memorial Drive between D and E streets. Shows begin at 7pm and, as usual, they’re one of the better low-stress summer traditions in town.
The June lineup opens June 9 with Teton Skye, a Celtic group bringing fiddles, folk rhythms and enough Irish flavor to make you briefly consider buying a kilt online after the show.
On June 16, the 40 Somethin’ Band takes over with a classic rock set aimed squarely at anybody who still instinctively turns up the radio when Tom Petty or Journey comes on. Expect familiar hits, river breezes and at least a few people quietly realizing they now qualify as “classic” themselves.
The June stretch wraps June 23 with the East Idaho Community Band, a longtime regional ensemble known for patriotic favorites, movie themes and crowd-pleasing brass arrangements that somehow feel tailor-made for summer evenings in Idaho Falls.
The River Concert Series continues through August with jazz, bluegrass, country and additional rock performances scheduled throughout the summer. Concerts are free and open to the public.
